Reunited at Nippori Train Station

The single biggest sacrifice we made by going on our exploration was to leave our daughter in Cape Town where she studies and resides at Stellenbosch University.

You can imagine our excitement at the prospect of her joining us in Asia for a month over the festive period.

Navigating her own adventure from Cape Town to Tokyo via Doha and meeting us in Nippori metro station wa no mean feat for anyone embarking on their first solo international flights crossing the equator and several time zones, negotiating immigration, customs, getting local foreign currency on arrival, remembering to collect luggage, using the correct passports for exit and entries, selecting the correct train, transferring to the correct station and meeting us all within 10 minutes of our original estimated time.

Fun family festive season together.
