We booked the morning of the ferry for a 12:30 departure. Collected the tickets at the ticket office at the port and walked around to the departure platform. You need your passport with you at both ends and in the event you have luggage or backpack like ours you need to check it in at the boarding platform. The short smooth ferry ride about 1.5 hours took us to a chaotic arrivals for immigration and customs. Just bear with it all, they can’t really be that serious.
