Maasai market

A short Daladala minibus taxi ride away from Mianzini we hit the Maasai market of Ngabatomi. In the blazing heat the outdoor market is full of vendors selling anything and everything from flip flops made out of car tyres to rocks that will cure headaches by smelling them to some orange sand that helps you get pregnant. The traders know you are  foreign so kind of expect you to haggle to get back down to some reasonable price, whether you like it or not.

Leaving the main market area we ventured up the street to see some more crazy shops planted on top of each other, motorbikes, daladalas flying by followed closely by goats and cows being shepherded by Maasai tribesmen.

How could we not love this eclectic mix of colours and smells.
