This was definitely not one of our goals for our adventure, but tasting wine is a passion of ours and we have taken advantage of the opportunities to sample some wines direct from the wine estates around the world during the journey.

From Australia to New Zealand to Argentina and now California it’s been fun tasting the different wines and comparing them and listening to the local experts.

Needless to say, we are bias, because South African wines remain the best and definitely when you consider that in many wine estates in SA you don’t have to pay for tasting.

With our tasting partners leading the way, the four of us headed down the coastal road from Half Moon Bay down to Santa Cruz and inland for a picnic at Le Clos wine farm, the views say everything.
