Sat in the slave trading quarter of the Old Fort in Stone Town, Zanzibar was a quite eerie feeling. We could easily imagine the cries from the East African slaves and the laughter from the traders haggling for their human merhandise.

Although this was more than 100 years ago and coupled with a level of ignorance and abusive practices in that period, slavery is still very much a lucrative and widespread business in the world today. Let’s Put a Stop Child Labour and other slavery practices in our lifetime.
