Shalom Bus

We ventured to the Bus Terminal, oops Bus Station, nope I mean parking lot down Zambezi Road in Livingstone and booked our bus tickets at the yellow Shalom Bus Company hut. Heading from Livingstone to Mazabuka is a 5 hour journey at a cost of 100 Kwacha each. Nice and comfortable seats in a clean bus.

We decided to use Shalom again from Mazabuka to Lusaka as they had a ticket office in Nyerere Road, Mazabuka and all seemed good. We did not get good service from here as they messed us around for the 10:00 bus and pretty much forced us into the 11:00 bus. We could not book seats in advance except if the bus was en route and it was before Monza Town. Even then I did not believe anything the guy was telling me mainly because his lips were moving. Anyhow the 10:00 bus stopped by at 11:20 and our bus arrived at 12:30 only 1,5 hours late. We headed to Lusaka about 3 hours away plus another 1 hour to get into the crowded bus terminal. The cost for our experience was 70 Kwacha each.
